Apple "Does Good"

What a pleasant surprise it was when I loaded the Apple homepage a few days ago. A new special edition iPod Nano. For charity nontheless. $10 of the purchase goes to the Global Fund to fight AIDS in Africa. Hopefully this will not just be another failed attempt at AIDS awareness. Especially by releasing it while the new iPod lineup is still fresh, it may have better chances of selling, especially to those world-councious comsumers who always love to find some way to give. But why not just make a donation? Well, the only way to get a Red colored iPod is to but this one, and the exclusiveness of it may lead to purchases purely based on color. Apple is very clever in marketing stratedgies.
